SUPER $2,000 KARAOKE CONTEST
AND AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

BonnieLouProductions will be holding a super Karaoke Contest with cash prizes worth $2,000; a grand prize of $1,000 cash and a second place prize of $500 and five $100 runnerup prizes. Actual date and location for the contest are not yet known pending selection of 100 qualified competitors. Dates and locations of the auditions are:
Feb. 10 & 17- Friday, 9 to 12pm Colonial Lanes Bowling Alley
400 N.Primrose Drive in Orlando, Fl 32803
Feb. 16 & 23 - Thursdays, 7 to 10pm VFW Post # 4287
3500 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, Fl 32822
March 1 & 8 - Thursdays, 7 to 10pm VFW Post # 4287

Other auditions will be added if needed. The entry fee for the auditions is $1 per song. Both the auditions and the contest will be judged on four criteria; Sound, Performance, Appearance and Crowd Appeal. The three judges will not know any of the contestants. They will be giving 1 - 5 points in each area. The contest will run for several weeks to determine the semi-finalists in the 10 categories below:
#1 Best Country
#2 Best Pop
#3 Best Rock & Roll
#4 Best Blues
#5 Best Jazz
#6 Best Show Tune
#7 Best Barbershop
#8 Best DooWop
#9 Best Gospel
#10 Best Elvis Impersonater
There must be 100 contestants to begin the Contest.
Round 1 There will be a $25 one time fee to enter. Thirty contestants will compete the first week and thirty names will be drawn to compete the following week. The scores will be tallied for each week . The top three scores for the men and the top three scores for the women in each category for that week will be qualified to advance to the next round. If you don't place, you may compete in additional categories by paying additional entry fees but only in and for as long as Round 1 lasts.
Round 2 Thirty names from all the first round qualifiers will be drawn each week. The top three scores for the men and the top three scores for the women in each category for that week will advance to the third round.
Round 3 The men will compete against the women in this round to determine the best in each category. These qualifiers will each win a cash prize.
Round 4 The best in each category will compete to determine the order of the ten cash winners. All winners will then have the option to actually DOUBLE the value of their prize value by choosing to take Avon gift certificates instead. These are redeemable through Bonnie Turner, an Independent Avon Representative..
There will be a $5 admission charge at the door with lots of doorprize drawings.

Our Featured Star Karaoke Hosts
Come out to sing with Claudette and her husband, Bob Ervin who host karaoke at Thirsty Gators on North Goldenrod Road every Friday night at 9pm. This is a non smoking venue with good food. They will be hosting one of our contest auditions on February 24th.
Update: Current qualified contestants equal 20 singers as of 2/7/12 after one audition.
